Biographical note | James Logan (1674-1751) was a colonial statesman, jurist, mayor, merchant, horticulturist, scientist, and secretary to William Penn. Logan also held various positions in the colonial government including secretary of the province, clerk of the Provincial Council, and numerous other executive and judicial posts. |
